Walk-in Interview for Research Associate-I Position

The Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites applications from Indian Nationals for the following project positions:

Position 1 Project: DBT project entitled “Technological innovations for development of functional foods from ethnic fermented foods of the Indian Himalayas” under Himalayan Bioresource Mission Name of position: Research Associate-I (01 position) Fellowship: Rs. 47,000/- + @16% HRA

Position 2 Project: SERB project entitled “Screening and identification of efflux pump inhibitors to combat antibacterial resistance in multi drug resistant S. aureus” Name of position: Research Associate-I (01 position) Fellowship: Rs. 47,000/- + @16% HRA

Eligibility:

• Ph.D. in any branch of Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology with at least one first author and one co-authored peer-reviewed research article in any science citation indexed journals.
• Candidates with expertise in Bacterial genetics, who have performed gene deletion or gene mutation in bacterial genome and/or worked with animal bacterial infection models, will be preferred.
• Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting viva voce may also apply. For such candidates, the fellowship amount will be that of a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) until the thesis defense.

Interested and eligible candidates may download the application form from the institute’s website www.ils.res.in and attend the interview with the filled application form along with attested copies of mark sheets and certificates, experience certificate, age proof, caste certificate (if any). Incomplete applications and applications submitted without the above-mentioned documents will be rejected.

The candidates will not have any right to claim explicit or implicit posts in the institute. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director, ILS, regarding the selection of candidates will be final, and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
