Job Role & Responsibilities

As a Medical Coder at IKS Health, you will:

• Perform coding for assigned specialties: EM, Surgery, Pathology, ED Infusion.
• Conduct daily audits and provide structured feedback to coders.
• Apply accurate coding principles, including medical necessity, APC (Ambulatory Payment Classifications), and payer guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians for clarification of incomplete or ambiguous documentation.
• Manage quality-related issues in coding processes and ensure compliance.
• Support continuous improvement in coding accuracy and productivity.

Eligibility / Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or related healthcare fields.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in any of the mentioned specialties (EM, Surgery, Pathology, ED Infusion).
• Certification: Valid AAPC or AHIMA certification is mandatory.
• Skills Required:
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical documentation.
  • High attention to detail, compliance awareness, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to query physicians and maintain effective communication.
