    Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is the R&D wing of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.     Stipend and Application Process

    Selected candidates for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 31,000/- along with HRA as per DRDO and National Agency’s research fellowship rules. The cutoff date for age and educational qualification will be determined as the date of the interview.

    Interested candidates can download the application form from the official website drdo.gov.in and submit it online. For participation, the duly filled application form should be sent by email to di***********@qo*.in and st****************@go*.in in both Word and Excel formats as required.

    During the interview, candidates must submit a complete bio-data with a recent passport photograph affixed on the top right corner of the first page. They should also bring self-attested copies of all degrees, academic qualification certificates, mark sheets, experience certificates, and other relevant documents for verification.

    Important Guidelines and Information

    • The JRF tenure is a maximum of five years. Candidates will initially work as JRF for two years and can be upgraded to SRF (Senior Research Fellow) for the remaining three years based on satisfactory performance.
    • Reporting time for the interview is 09:30 AM at the Main Gate Reception of DRDE, Jhansi Road, Gwalior-474002. Latecomers will not be allowed.
    • A written test may be conducted for JRF candidates, and only qualified candidates will proceed to the interview.
    • Candidates should carefully prepare for the interview, as it may extend to the next day if there are a large number of participants.
    • Candidates employed in Government Departments/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer during the interview.
    • DRDE Gwalior is located approximately 1 km from Gwalior Railway Station on Jhansi Road. The landmark is Hotel Landmark Road and is near the FCI Godown.
    • Electronic items such as smartphones, mobile phones, pen drives, laptops, CD-ROMs, and any type of electronic gazettes are not allowed inside the DRDE Gwalior Campus.

    Please note that incomplete applications will be rejected during the screening process. The antecedents of selected candidates will be verified again at the time of joining. The offer of the Fellowship does not guarantee absorption into DRDO, and no TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview or joining if selected.
