A walk-in interview is being organized for filling up the vacancy of Pharmacist on a Contract basis at RCNK/SNP. The period of contract will be for 12 months. On satisfactory completion of the contract period of 12 months, the contract may be extended. Eligible candidates are invited for Walk-in-interview along with their original documents on the date, time, and venue given below:

Eligibility Criteria: 1. 10+2 in science or its equivalent with 02 years Diploma in Pharmacy/Degree in Pharmacy and registration with the Pharmacy Council of India (or) with the State Pharmacy Council.

Scope of work:

  • Prepare lotions, ointments and applications for surgical dressings.
  • Attend to emergencies in the absence of the Medical Officer (as far as rendering first aid is concerned.)
  • Maintain dispensing room and the appliances therein in proper working order and distribute medicines to the patients.
  • Be responsible for the account of drugs, medicines, dressings, consumables, and perishable stores.
  • Maintain all registers in connection with the medical statistics and prepare periodical returns, bills, and indents under the supervision of the Medical Officer.
  • Maintain the drug account and drug registers.
  • Receive stores from the parcel/goods office or stores delivery clerk and enter the same in respective ledgers.
  • Send the unserviceable or surplus stores on advice notes to the store’s delivery clerk or to the parcel/goods office and enter the number of advice notes in the ledgers.
  • Assist the doctor in preparation of the annual/emergent indents of drugs, dressings, instruments, medical and surgical appliances and medical stores of the hospital/health unit.
  • Be responsible for the preparation and submission of returns and do all clerical work under supervision of doctors.
  • Make entries on all outdoor tickets and injury case sheets, when required.
  • Keep a record of all outdoor case sheets and injury case sheets. Prepare all certificates leaving the “disease” column to be filled by the doctor.
  • Be responsible for the maintenance of all old and current injury case sheets and all case papers which have been referred to the Medical Officer in charge of the division.
  • Keep the records under safe custody.
  • Be responsible for maintenance and accountable for tools and plants and their registers in Health Units.
  • Receive necessary forms of medical examination and enter them in the register for medical examination of candidates and employees etc. when required.
  • When required, take height, weight & chest measurements of candidates and employees for medical examination.

Nature of Engagement: The engagement is purely on a contractual basis for 12 months from the date of finalization of a panel of selected candidates. Further, the service of the above Pharmacist is also terminable before the expiry of the contract period. The service rendered as a contract pharmacist is a stop-gap arrangement. It will also not confer any right for automatic regularization/absorption in any circumstances, whatsoever it may be. Candidates who fulfill the above terms and conditions and have requisite qualifications should submit their documents on the scheduled date, time, and venue with a photocopy of the following certificate:

  1. Photocopy of date of Birth Certificate or Age poof document
  2. Photocopy of Educational qualification certificates (as per Post requirement).
  3. Photocopy of experience certificate (if any)
  4. Registration with the Pharmacy Council of India (or) with the State Pharmacy Council.
  5. Two passport-size photographs
  6. Deduction of Remuneration of absence: – Other than 52 Sundays, 15 RH & NH, the Amount of Rs. 916.05/- per day shall be deducted in lieu of absence.
  7. Performance: If the performance of any of the pharmacists is not found satisfactory, RCNK authorities have the right to terminate the contract with immediate effect.

Age: – The age of the pharmacist should be above 18 and below 50 years.

Mode of Selection: – Walk-in-Interview. Suitable weightage will be given to academic qualifications and experience.

Railway pharmacist eligibility
