Responsibilities of the Intern
As an Open Innovation Intern, you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities that bridge the realms of technology and beauty:
- Conduct market research to identify Deeptech start-ups, corporations, and venture capital investments in India, particularly focusing on digital technologies/tools/methods for scientific applications.
- Evaluate and identify opportunities for L’Oreal to collaborate with potential innovation partners or start-ups, with guidance from the team.
- Contribute to ongoing digital initiatives that align with internal requirements.
- Participate in the organization of various Open Innovation events and activities.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, the following qualifications and skills are essential:
- Master’s Degree: A Master’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry/physics, or related interdisciplinary sciences is required.
- Scientific Expertise: An understanding of computational chemistry, soft matter physics, or biology techniques is vital.
- Research Experience: Hands-on research experience related to topics like molecular quantum mechanics, molecular dynamics simulations, structure-based drug discovery, or deep learning methods.
- Programming: Experience with high-performance scientific programming, algorithm design, and handling open-source tools.
