Job Role & Responsibilities

As a Safety Officer in the EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting workplace safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor EHS policies in line with industry regulations
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees
• Maintain compliance with pharma and chemical safety standards
• Oversee emergency response planning and drills
• Ensure documentation of incidents, corrective actions, and preventive measures
• Support sustainability and regulatory compliance initiatives

Eligibility / Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS, PDIS, NEBOSH, IOSH preferred)
• Experience: 3–6 years of experience in EHS roles within pharmaceutical, API, or chemical manufacturing industries
• Preferred Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and EHS guidelines
  • Experience in pharma/chemical plant safety systems
  • Proficiency in safety audits, risk analysis, and compliance documentation

Relevant courses: Industrial Safety Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering.
