Job Role & Responsibilities

As a Trainee Research Associate, you will work under the guidance of senior chemists while gaining hands-on training in synthetic organic chemistry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, set up, monitor, and work up chemical reactions
• Operate lab instruments such as Combiflash, Rotary Evaporators, and analytical equipment
• Purify compounds using methods like Column Chromatography, Crystallization, and Vacuum Distillation
• Conduct compound characterization using MS and 1H NMR
• Maintain a detailed lab notebook and prepare technical reports
• Carry out literature search using SciFinder and other scientific databases
• Handle routine laboratory tasks, including equipment maintenance and chemical inventory
• Independently set up multiple reactions per day
• Stay updated with the latest literature in organic chemistry

Eligibility / Qualifications

• Education: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry
• Experience: Freshers or candidates with less than 1 year of experience
