Job Role & Responsibilities

Position: Research Associate – Discovery Chemistry
Department: Chemistry

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and execute chemical reactions for synthesis of target molecules/compounds
• Ensure laboratory safety by adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
• Maintain and manage scientific records, IP documentation, and data integrity
• Collaborate with scientists for synthetic route optimization
• Stay updated with relevant scientific literature

Eligibility / Qualifications

• Education: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry
• Experience: 1–3 years (CRO background mandatory)
• Preferred Skills:
  • Hands-on expertise in reaction setup and product purification
  • Familiarity with modern spectroscopic techniques (NMR, MS, IR, HPLC)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety and compliance protocols

Relevant courses: Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
