Job Role & Responsibilities

Position: Medical Coder (Fresher)
Location: Coimbatore
Experience: 0–1 Year

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze medical records to ensure accuracy of assigned codes
• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for diagnosis and procedures
• Ensure compliance with medical necessity guidelines and chart processing standards
• Apply knowledge of APC and CMS coding guidelines
• Collaborate with team leads for quality and process improvement

Eligibility / Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pharmacy, Nursing, or related fields)
• Certification: AAPC certification is mandatory (CPC preferred)
• Skills Required:
  • Thorough understanding of ICD-10-CM guidelines
  • Familiarity with CPT coding
  • Analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and time management skills

Relevant courses: B.Sc Biotechnology, B.Sc Microbiology, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Life Sciences.
