Job Role: Trainee Medical Coder

CorroHealth is hiring Trainee Medical Coders with a nursing background to support their growing healthcare documentation team. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Bangalore and is ideal for candidates seeking day shift jobs with career growth potential in the healthcare sector.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Educational Background: Nursing Graduates (B.Sc Nursing, GNM, etc.)
• Excellent communication and typing skills
• Strong grasp of human anatomy and medical terminology
• Interest in medical coding and billing practices

Key Responsibilities

• Extract relevant data from patient records
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy
• Assign correct CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9/10-CM, APC, DRG, and ASA codes
• Conduct chart audits for quality checks
• Ensure compliance with current coding standards
• Verify codes against physician diagnoses
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines
• Assist with billing queries and claim resolutions
