As a Pharmacovigilance Intake Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of Baxter’s therapies, contributing to improved outcomes for millions of patients globally.
Job Role: Pharmacovigilance Intake Specialist
This role is a vital part of Baxter’s Safety Operations team, responsible for managing country-level pharmacovigilance activities, including the collection, documentation, and processing of adverse event (AE) reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage collection, documentation and processing of local AE reports from all sources based on national legislation and in accordance with Baxter’s procedures
- Perform surveillance activities for any new potential safety information and escalate per procedures
- Perform local case triage including assessment of validity, duplicate check and forwarding to internal and external partners as required
- Perform case intake within the Pharmacovigilance Safety System (PSS)
- Respond to queries from the global case processing team
- Perform source document redaction as necessary and ensure all source documentation is captured in PSS
- Perform local quality checks as required
- Perform Health Authority case download where required
- Other activities as required
What Baxter is Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- A degree in sciences, pharmacy, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of pharmacovigilance experience.
Key Skills:
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Attention to detail and ability to work under strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in working within a team and independently.
- Strong medical and clinical knowledge.
