We are currently seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Medical Representative to join our dynamic team, specializing in the Central Nervous System (CNS) Segment.
As a Medical Representative, you will be the key point of contact between our company and healthcare professionals. You will play a crucial role in promoting our CNS product portfolio, educating medical practitioners, and contributing to the expansion of our market presence. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong scientific acumen and excellent communication skills to make a significant impact on patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Promotion & Sales: Effectively promote and sell CNS product range (including drugs for neurological and psychiatric conditions) to neurologists, psychiatrists, general physicians, and other relevant healthcare professionals within an assigned territory.
- Relationship Building: Develop and nurture strong, lasting relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), doctors, pharmacists, and other stakeholders, fostering trust and advocating for our products.
- Scientific Dissemination: Conduct product presentations and in-depth discussions, clearly communicating the scientific features, benefits, indications, dosage, and potential side effects of our CNS medications. Stay updated with the latest medical trends, research, and product information to provide accurate and credible information.
- Market Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and healthcare policies within the CNS segment to identify new business opportunities and refine sales strategies.
- Territory Management: Plan and execute efficient daily and monthly call plans, manage territory resources effectively, and ensure consistent achievement of sales targets.
- Reporting & Compliance: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback. Provide timely and accurate reports to management, adhering to all company policies, industry guidelines, and ethical standards (including MCI code of conduct/UCP-MP guidelines).
- Customer Support: Address queries and provide ongoing support to healthcare professionals regarding product information, availability, and usage.
Educational Initiatives: Participate in and organize scientific meetings, conferences, and educational programs for healthcare professionals to enhance product understanding and awareness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (B. Pharm), Life Sciences (e.g., B.Sc. in Pharmacology, Biotechnology), or a related scientific field. A master’s degree (M. Pharm, M.Sc.) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Medical Representative, with a strong preference for experience in the CNS therapeutic area.
- In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, CNS disorders, and relevant medical terminology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-building abilities.
- Results-oriented with a demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Self-motivated, proactive, organized, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in English and the local language (e.g., Gujarati, Hindi, depending on territory).
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
