Job Description

About the Department & Responsibilities

As an R&D Scientist in the Formulations department at Alembic Pharmaceuticals, you will be at the forefront of scientific innovation. Here’s an overview of the key responsibilities:

Formulation Development of Solid Orals:

• Conduct formulation development trials for assigned products.
• Document and monitor all development activities.
• Participate in the manufacturing of investigational, scale-up, and exhibit batches.
• Prepare required documents for Pilot, Scale-up, and Exhibit batches.
• Execute and monitor stability studies in accordance with ICH guidelines.

Topical Formulations:

• Focus on the formulation development of topical products.
• Stay well-informed about regulatory guidelines (ICH, USFDA, EMEA, etc.).
• Conduct literature and patent reviews; provide technical interpretation.
• Ensure error-free documentation and logical interpretation.

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in conducting literature and patent reviews.
• Ability to interpret technical data and provide insightful analysis.
• Team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• M.Pharmacy in Pharmaceutics or Ph.D. with a strong academic track record.
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in solid oral dosage forms and topical formulations.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines (ICH, USFDA, EMEA).
• Ability to conduct literature and patent reviews with technical acumen.
• Strong documentation skills with a focus on error-free records.
