Key Job Responsibilities

Core Duties:

• Review laboratory reports and clinical documents to extract relevant data.
• Assign accurate medical codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) for lab tests.
• Ensure compliance with updated coding regulations and payer-specific rules.
• Maintain data accuracy by entering codes in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Perform regular quality audits and resolve documentation discrepancies.
• Liaise with physicians, lab technicians, and billing teams for clarification.
• Conduct coding research using manuals and online databases.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education & Certification:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Pharmacy, or related fields.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification is mandatory.

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum 3 years experience in clinical pathology or lab-based medical coding.
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Proficient with medical terminology, EHR software, and Microsoft Office tools.

Work Details

• Location: Remote (India)
• Shift Timing: 10-hour shift, Monday to Friday (Weekends Off)
• Type: Full-time
• Salary: ₹30,000+ per month
