Job Description:

Pfizer is hiring a Publications Writer to join the Biopharmaceuticals Group, specifically supporting CMAO-Global Medical Excellence & Innovation, Global Medical Affairs team. The role involves:

• Developing abstracts, posters, manuscripts, congress presentations, and slide decks.
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams for data mining as per document requirements.
• Ensuring data quality control and adherence to general publication and company policies.
• Providing regular project updates and participating in publications subcommittees.
• Supporting Global Medical Product Evaluation tasks.

Required Skill Set:

• Technical Skills: Excellent scientific writing, analytic skills, and proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Personal Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize projects, and effective communication.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work well in cross-functional global teams and mentor junior colleagues.
• Software: Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and reference management tools.

Managerial:

• Reports directly to the Senior Manager, Medical Writing- GMAIST Pubs COE.
• Works closely with Publications Specialist, Global Medical Affairs Leads, and Publication coordinators.

Certifications: Not Applicable

Education: Post-graduate/Doctorate degree in life sciences/pharmacy/medical sciences or equivalent degrees.

Experience: 3 to 6 years relevant experience for medical graduates/PhDs, more than 6 years for master’s in life sciences. Minimum 3 years of experience in publication writing.
