Job Details
Job Title: Associate Medical Coder
Job Category: Medical & Clinical Operations
Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India
Employment Type: Full-time (Day Shift)
Responsibilities:
- Accurately assign ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes for medical records.
- Ensure compliance with medical coding guidelines and regulations.
- Meet departmental productivity and accuracy standards (minimum 95% accuracy).
- Attend coding meetings and training to stay updated.
- Collaborate with teams for quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Graduation in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or Medical Sciences (BSc, MSc, BPharm, MPharm, BPT, BHMS, BAMS, etc.)
Certifications:
- Certified fresher or experienced medical coder
- Valid CPC, CCS, CIC, or COC certification (AAPC or AHIMA approved)
- Must provide certification ID number during the interview process
Experience Required:
- Freshers with medical coding certification OR candidates with relevant experience
