This full-time position is ideal for professionals with 2+ years of experience in multispecialty Evaluation & Management (E&M) coding, and certifications from AAPC or AHIMA.

Job Responsibilities
Coding & Compliance
- Code professional services (diagnoses, procedures, and modifiers) accurately from medical records.
- Assign ICD-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II codes with appropriate modifiers.
- Ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM guidelines, CPT conventions, CMS updates, and AHA Coding Clinic.
Quality & Productivity
- Maintain a coding speed of 12 charts per hour while ensuring accuracy.
- Regularly update knowledge with AMA, AHA, CMS guideline revisions.
- Modify CPT codes for minor surgical procedures, vaccines, and labs.
Regulatory Standards
- Comply with HIPAA and company confidentiality policies.
- Check NCCI edits and modify codes based on LCD & NCD rules.
- Assist in process improvement and teamwork collaboration.
Required Qualifications
Educational Background
- Life Science or Allied Medicine Graduates (B.Sc, M.Sc in Life Sciences, BPT, B.Pharm, Nursing, etc.)
- Certification: AAPC (e.g., CPC) or AHIMA (e.g., CCS, RHIT)
Experience
- Minimum 2+ years in E&M medical coding.
- Strong exposure to Emergency Department and Critical Care coding.
- Knowledge of MDM-based EM level determination and NCCI edits.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, human anatomy, ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS.
