The Department of Medicinal Chemistry at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Raebareli, invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under an ANRF/SERB-funded project titled:

“Exploration of oxadiazole scaffolds into potential pan peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) agonists as antidiabetic agents.”

This is an exciting opportunity for postgraduate candidates in pharmacy or chemistry to work on a cutting-edge research project in antidiabetic drug discovery.

About the Project

This research project focuses on discovering novel oxadiazole-based molecules with activity against PPARs—a crucial target for antidiabetic therapies. The work will involve molecular modeling, chemical synthesis, and advanced medicinal chemistry techniques under the guidance of experienced faculty members from NIPER Raebareli.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification:

• M.S. (Pharm.), M.Pharm., or M.Sc. in:
  • Medicinal Chemistry
  • Pharmaceutical Chemistry
  • Pharmaceutical Sciences

Desirable Qualification:

• GPAT / GATE / NET qualified
• Prior experience in:
  • Molecular modeling
  • Chemical synthesis

Age Limit:

• Maximum: 28 years (Relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/women/PH candidates)

Salary:

• Rs. 37,000 + HRA (as per norms)
