Job Role & Responsibilities

As a Junior Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will:

• Perform nucleic acid extraction from biological samples (blood, tissue, swabs).
• Conduct DNA/RNA quality checks using spectrophotometry, fluorometry, gel electrophoresis.
• Prepare NGS libraries from multiple sample types.
• Execute and monitor sequencing runs using standard protocols.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of samples and chemicals.
• Support the Lab Manager in method development and validation.
• Participate in lab accreditation processes (NABL, EIAC).
• Use bioinformatics tools for data analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams while managing multiple projects.

Eligibility / Qualifications

• Education: B.E./B.Tech, B.Sc, M.Sc, or M.Tech in Biotechnology or Genetics.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in molecular biology or clinical laboratory settings.
• Skills Required:
  • Hands-on experience with DNA/RNA extraction, NGS, and molecular techniques.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Candidates with a DHA license will be prioritized.
• Experience in NGS library preparation.
• Previous work experience in the pharma or biotech industry.
• Knowledge of lab accreditation standards like NABL, EIAC.
