ACTREC Junior Research Fellow opportunity for Lifesciences candidates
The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research, and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) is looking for a Junior Research Fellow to work on a project titled “Engineering Perfusion Models of Human organs for Pre-clinical and Biological Research.” The candidate should have an M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences with a minimum of 60% marks and be qualified for CSIR-UGC NET-JRF/DBT-JRF or GATE. Additionally, the candidate should have at least two years of experience in mammalian cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and animal handling. The selected candidate will receive a consolidated salary of Rs. 38,440/- per month, and the duration of the project is six months.
Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer, ACTREC, is a unique Institute under the wing of the Tata Memorial Centre and a grant-in-aid Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy. ACTREC conducts a Ph.D. program in Life Sciences that is affiliated with the Homi Bhabha National Institute (a deemed university under category A by MHRD, Govt. of India). Fulfilling its ‘bench-to-bedside’ mandate, the Institute provides a highly conducive environment for world-class cancer research.

Project Title:-“Engineering Perfusion Models of Human organs for Pre-clinical and Biological Research”
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. (Life Sciences) or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying exam. Candidate should be CSIR-UGC NET-JRF / DBT-JRF or GATE qualified.
Experience:– Minimum two-year experience in mammalian cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and animal handling. *M.Sc. degree having a duration of one year course will not be considered. The selected candidate will have to join at the earliest; hence result-awaited candidates will not be eligible to apply for the post.
Consolidated Salary: Rs. 38,440/- per month. (Rs. 31,000/-+24%HRA) p.m.
Duration: Six Months. The work progress of candidates will be monitored for extension after 6 months
