Trainee Medical Coder Responsibilities

As a Trainee Medical Coder, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and analyzing medical billing and coding for processing. Acquiring and maintaining comprehensive knowledge in medical terminology, anatomical terms, and efficient use of ICD10 is key to success in this role.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Noida for a Medical Coding Trainee. The Medical Coding Trainee will be responsible for learning and applying various coding techniques for diagnoses and procedures within healthcare. The responsibilities of the trainee will include reviewing medical documents, assigning appropriate codes based on diagnosis, treatments, or procedures received, and creating reports for billing purposes.

Qualifications required for Trainee Medical Coder

Experience with medical coding and terminology
Understanding of Health Information Management and HIPAA regulations
Knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
Knowledge of medical billing processes and documentation standards
Credentials such as RHIT, RHIA, or CCS beneficial
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to work in a team and follow instructions closely
An understanding of medical billing software and systems
