Experience:

• PhD holders: 0 to 5 years
• MSc. or MPharma holders: 2 to 10 years

This role involves working on critical aspects of literature and patent search, FTO analysis, and knowledge management services in line with project timelines and objectives. You will be part of a forward-thinking team that is responsible for safeguarding PI Industries’ innovations and assisting in R&D projects through robust intellectual property strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Literature and Patent Search: Conduct comprehensive searches in scientific and patent databases to support the company’s research and development efforts.
2. FTO Analysis: Perform Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) analysis to ensure that PI Industries’ innovations do not infringe on existing patents.
3. Patent Drafting & Filing: Collaborate with the legal team to draft and file patents, ensuring the protection of innovations across various jurisdictions.
4. Knowledge Management: Support knowledge management (KM) activities, organizing research data and intellectual property assets in alignment with project goals.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Legal, and Regulatory teams, to develop and implement IP strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for the Research Scientist / Senior Research Scientist role in Intellectual Property Management, candidates must have:

• PhD or MSc. in Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Biotechnology
  or
  MPharma in Pharmaceutical Chemistry
• Experience:
  • PhD candidates: 0 to 5 years
  • MSc. or MPharma candidates: 2 to 10 years in literature/patent search, FTO analysis, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of intellectual property rights and patent laws.
• Proven expertise in scientific research and a meticulous approach to data analysis.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
