Job Responsibilities:
As an HCC Medical Coder/Sr. Coder at Vee Healthtek, your key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing medical records and accurately assigning appropriate HCC codes.
- Ensuring compliance with official coding guidelines and documentation standards.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to clarify diagnosis and ensure accurate coding.
- Utilizing medical coding software and tools to streamline the coding process.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding changes and healthcare regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A degree or certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent).
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in HCC medical coding.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 CM coding standards.
- Familiarity with medical coding software and tools.
- Good communication skills for liaising with medical professionals and ensuring coding accuracy.
