Key Responsibilities:
Leading a pre-clinical discovery program
Designing and conducting a wide range of pre-clinical in vivo and in vitro /ex vivo studies relevant to mechanisms of novel pharmacological agents vitro / ex vivo Development of new mouse models and various in functional assays and techniques required to interrogate the relevant mechanism.
All aspects of in vivo, ex vivo / in vitro testing in a coordinated manner with other members of the team.
Technical/Functional Skills:
Hands-on experience with various animal models of autoimmunity
Significant expertise in multi-color flow cytometry to interrogate the mechanistic aspect of a novel target or track PD readouts in relevant immune cells
Proven ability to independently design, coordinate, and execute in vivo and ex vivo studies with timely production of quality data and accurate record keeping.
Ability to proficiently use MS Excel and Graph Pad Prism software for data analysis and other statistical analysis. Ability to train and mentor other scientists in a timely manner and should be comfortable as a team player
Ability to perform meticulous record-keeping and generate scientific reports to support preclinical drug development.
Ability to comply with organizational guidelines, IAEC regulations, animal use protocols, experimental study design protocols, and standard operating procedures.
Excellent time-management skills and managing multiple experiments in several projects concurrently.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate both oral and written scientific results and conclusions to peers, supervisor and department teams.
