Job Role & Responsibilities

Syngene is hiring for Synthetic Chemistry Scientist and Medicinal Chemistry Scientist roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute synthetic routes for drug discovery projects
• Conduct structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies for new molecules
• Perform reaction optimization, purification, and characterization
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including biology and pharmacology units
• Maintain documentation in compliance with GLP and regulatory standards
• Contribute to project milestones with high-quality deliverables

Eligibility / Qualifications

• Education: M.Sc., M.Pharm, or Ph.D. in Organic/Synthetic/Medicinal Chemistry
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in pharmaceutical/biotech R&D
• Skills Required:
  • Strong knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry
  • Proficiency with laboratory techniques (HPLC, NMR, LCMS, chromatography)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced research environment
