The Role: Associate Medical Coding Professional
As an Associate Medical Coding Professional at Novo Nordisk, you will be pivotal in enhancing the quality and efficacy of clinical trials. Your role will involve extensive work with medical coding systems such as MedDRA and WHODrug Global, ensuring precise categorization of trial data and adherence to regulatory standards.
Your Impact
- Medical Coding Accuracy: Perform timely and accurate categorization of verbatim text from clinical trials using the TMS Application.
- Complex Coding Tasks: Handle ATC coding for medications with multiple ATC codes, aligning with project-specific requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with senior medical coding professionals and global safety teams to maintain compliance with both internal and external coding procedures.
- Progress Reporting: Regularly report the status of clinical trial coding to monitor and guide trial progress effectively.
Who We Are Looking For
Ideal candidates will have:
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Veterinary Science, or Clinical Information Management.
- At least three years of data management experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- A robust understanding of medical coding dictionaries and project management.
- The ability to quickly adapt to new situations in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills and cross-cultural awareness.
