Job Overview

As a Statistical Programmer at IQVIA, you will play a key role in managing statistical programming activities, supervising teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality statistical programming solutions. This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in clinical research while developing leadership and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Responsibilities

• Act as a Statistical Programming consultant, providing technical expertise and guidance to internal teams.
• Lead high-level statistical programming projects with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statistical programming trends and best practices.
• Review and enhance existing SP standards and validation procedures.
• Provide expert technical support to internal and external clients.

Leadership & Team Management

• Manage a team of Statistical Programmers, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
• Conduct regular meetings with team members to review project status, workload, and deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Provide mentorship and support career development initiatives for direct reports.
• Assist in project scheduling, staffing, and workload management.

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Develop and implement standard SOPs, training programs, and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal quality standards.
• Participate in internal and external audits to maintain high-quality standards.
• Support business development by contributing to RFPs, RFIs, and budget planning.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Biostatistics, or a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience, including 1+ year in a leadership role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Biostatistics, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, including 1+ year in a leadership role.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in SAS programming and clinical database management.
• Strong knowledge of statistical methodologies and clinical trial processes.
• Expertise in project finance, forecasting, and risk management.

Soft Skills

• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective mentoring and coaching skills to develop team capabilities.
