Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Degree: MSc in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry
- Experience: 2-10 years in relevant fields
Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Chemical Reactions: Executing chemical reactions on mg to gm scale to synthesize molecules/compounds as per client specifications.
- Purification and Characterization: Purifying compounds and interpreting characterization using analytical techniques like NMR, LCMS, and HPLC.
- Peptide Synthesis: Conducting solid phase/solution phase peptide synthesis.
- Handling Resins: Managing diverse resins for peptide synthesis and modifications such as cyclization, disulfide bridge formation, stapling, and derivatization.
- Automated Systems: Experience with automated peptide synthesizers and peptide purification is desirable.
- Lab Notebook: Proficiency in writing Electronic Lab Notebooks.
Skills Required
Candidates should possess the following skills:
- Efficient route and technique application for synthesizing molecules/compounds.
- Expertise in analytical techniques for compound characterization.
- Proficiency in peptide synthesis and modification.
- Experience with automated peptide synthesizers.
- Competence in documenting research electronically.
