Job Role: Associate Clinical Data Coder
Key Responsibilities
- Perform clinical coding mapping using dictionaries like MedDRA & WHODrug.
- Identify ambiguous verbatim terms and issue queries in line with coding conventions.
- Generate, integrate, and review clinical data coding reports.
- Assist in the setup and execution of coding tools and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP guidelines, corporate SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Report discrepancies related to clinical dictionaries and database lock (DBL) processes.
- Provide regular updates to supervisors and study teams.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or related fields.
- Candidates with relevant clinical data management or coding experience are preferred.
Experience
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and coding dictionaries (MedDRA & WHODrug).
- Prior exposure to Clinical Trial/Data Management Systems (InForm, Rave, Veeva, DataLabs) is a plus.
- Awareness of regulatory requirements (ICH-GCP).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
