Job Description: Clinical Programmer II

Introduction to Role: Are you ready to take a crucial inter-disciplinary approach to save patients’ lives? As a Clinical Programmer II at AstraZeneca, you’ll play a pivotal role in programming, dashboard development, and validation of data cleaning for ongoing clinical studies. Join us as we work on projects of moderate to medium scope and complexity, contributing to life-changing medicines.

Accountabilities: In this role, you’ll design, develop, and implement programs using SAS/Python/R/SQL or dashboard applications like PowerBI/Spotfire. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to process, analyze, and report clinical trial data. Ensure compliance with SOPs and contribute to documentation associated with programming tasks.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, life science, or statistics
• Programming skills and prior experience in SAS/Python/R/SQL or dashboard applications
• Basic knowledge of the clinical development process
• Dashboard development skills in PowerBI/Spotfire

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Knowledge of industry standards
• Familiarity with FDA regulations and GCP/ICH guidelines
• Prior experience with EDC systems like Medidata Rave, Inform, Veeva, Saama, Entim, SAS LSAF, etc.
• Knowledge of Microstrategy is an added advantage
