Key Responsibilities for Scientist/Senior Scientist Role
As a Scientist/Senior Scientist in the Chemistry Lab, you will engage in a variety of tasks that blend innovation with practical applications. Here are the primary responsibilities of the role:

Organic Synthesis & Reaction Optimization:
- Design and execute complex synthetic routes to develop novel organic compounds.
- Optimize reaction conditions to improve target compounds’ yield, purity, and scalability.
- Scale-up laboratory reactions for pilot and production stages.
Characterization & Analytical Techniques:
- Conduct detailed characterization of compounds using techniques such as NMR, IR, MS, HPLC, and GC.
- Interpret the analytical data to assess synthesized compounds’ structure, purity, and properties.
- Write comprehensive reports detailing experimental procedures, results, and conclusions.
Research & Development:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new products or improve existing formulations.
- Stay up-to-date with current literature and emerging trends in organic chemistry to drive innovation.
- Contribute to new organic compound synthesis and characterization methods, processes, and technologies.
Laboratory Management:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols, regulations, and best practices.
- Prepare and maintain detailed experimental documentation following company standards.
Project Management & Reporting:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
- Communicate research findings and progress to senior management and project stakeholders.
- Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, and publications for internal and external audiences.
What You Need to Qualify for the Role
Required Education:
- MSc in Chemistry (with a focus on Organic, Industrial, General, or Medicinal Chemistry).
Experience:
- 1-4 years of relevant experience in chemistry research or a related field.
