Advertisement for Recruitment of Contractual Staff in ICMR funded extramural project

1. Name of the Post: Project Research Scientist I (Non-Medical)
Name of the Project: Development and validation of a deprescribing tool relevant to the Indian context and evaluation of its effectiveness in reducing inappropriate polypharmacy in the elderly
Number of posts: One
Essential Qualification: 1st class Post Graduate degree in a Life Science/Social Science/Public Health Subject including integrated PG degree OR 2nd class Post Graduate in Post Graduate degree in a Life Sciences/Social Science/Public Health Subject with Ph.D. in relevant subject from a recognized University
Desirable Qualification and Experience:

• Post Graduate degree in Public Health / Sociology/ Social Work/Health Management / Hospital Administration/Biostatistics
• Experience in Clinical data collection, including interviews/surveys
• Experience of working in Public Health/Medical Research Projects
• Able to communicate in English and Hindi
  Age limit: 35 years
  Emoluments: Rs. 56,000 + 18% HRA = 66,080 per month
  Nature of Duties:
• Data collection, conducting participant interviews, clinical case record maintenance.
• Technical support for Delphi process
• Any other duty assigned by the PI/Co-PI/ supervisory officer from time to time
  Duration: The appointment will be on a temporary basis for a period of one year. Based on the performance in the first year, the appointment could be extended till the end of the project or duration of the Project, whichever is earlier.

2. Name of the Post: Project Technical Support III
Name of the Project: Development and validation of a deprescribing tool relevant to the Indian context and evaluation of its effectiveness in reducing inappropriate polypharmacy in the elderly
Number of posts: One
Essential Qualification:

• Three Years Graduate degree in a Life Science Subject + three years’ experience in a recognized institute/hospital OR
• Postgraduate degree in a Life Science subject
  Desirable Qualification and Experience:
• B Pharm/BAMS/BHMS/BDS/BUMS + three years’ experience in a recognized institute/hospital OR
• M. Pharm/Pharm D/ Msc. Pharmacology/PhD in Pharmaceutical sciences
• Knowledge of Computer Applications
• Experience in prescription data collection/analysis or research project
  Age limit: 35 years
  Emoluments: @Rs 28000/- +HRA 18%=Rs 33040/month per month
  Nature of Duties:
• Review of research participant prescriptions and feedback to prescribers
• Assisting the investigators in research activities relating to the project.
• Any other duty assigned by the PI/Co-PI officer from time to time
  Duration: One year or till the duration of the project, whichever is earlier

3. Name of the Post: Project Technical Support I
Name of the Project: Development and validation of a deprescribing tool relevant to the Indian context and evaluation of its effectiveness in reducing inappropriate polypharmacy in the elderly
Number of posts: Two
Essential Qualification: 10th pass in the science stream from a recognized board with Diploma (MLT/DMLT) from a recognized Institute and 2 years’ experience in a medical/nursing/dental/ paramedical institute/research project
Desirable Qualification and Experience:

• Knowledge of Computer Applications
• Typing speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour
• Experience in Data entry in research related to medical sciences in a reputed Institute
• Working knowledge of English
  Age limit: 28 years
  Emoluments: 18,000 + 18% HRA = 21,240 per month
  Nature of Duties:
• Entry and maintenance of data related to the research project
• Preparation of data summaries/ project report
• Assisting the Investigators in research activities relating to the project.
• Any other duty assigned by the PI/Co-PI/ supervisory officer from time to time
  Duration: One year or till the duration of the project, whichever is earlier

Selection Venue: Department of Pharmacology, Sardar Vallabh Patel Building (Medical College), AIIMS Bhopal. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-written test/Interview.

Age Concession: Age relaxation is admissible in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates, Retrenched Government Employees, Departmental Candidates (including projects), and ex-servicemen in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time. Age concession to the extent of services rendered in the research projects will also be admissible for experienced and skilled persons.

3. All the candidates should report on the date indicated against the post on 23.12.2023 not later than 10:00 AM. Written Examination (if more number of candidates) would be held at the Department of Pharmacology Sardar Vallabh Patel Building (Medical College), AIIMS, Saket Nagar, Bhopal. The examination would consist of multiple-choice questions in the subjects of general analytical ability and knowledge of the concerned area. A skill test will be conducted for the post of Research Technical Support I in addition to the interview/written exam.
4. The candidates shall report for appearing in the interview/exam/skill test with: a. Filled Application form copy b. Self-attested photocopies of proof of date of birth (class 10th certificate/ school leaving certificate), eligibility qualification mark-sheets, degrees, experience certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), qualifying degree registration with statutory council (if applicable) and other relevant testimonials.
