CCMB Hyderabad Walk in interview for Pharma Graduates; Project Associates

    The Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology (CCMB) is looking for eligible Indian Nationals to apply for a temporary position of Project Associate-I on a contractual basis.

    The Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology (CCMB) is a premier research organization in frontier areas of modern biology. The objectives of the Centre are to conduct high-quality basic research and training in frontier areas of modern biology and promote centralized national facilities for new and modern techniques in the interdisciplinary areas of biology.

    Applications are invited from the eligible Indian National for WALK-IN INTERVIEW on 5th April 2023 at 10:30 am for a temporary position of Project Associate-I on a contractual basis, as indicated hereunder. Candidates who fulfil the criteria mentioned below can fill in the attached form and submit it on the day of the interview along with self-attested copies of all supported documents as indicated in the application, like certificates/marks sheet/experience etc… The Institute will not provide blank application forms; candidates must submit the duly filled application form at registration.

    Project Associate-I

    Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized University or equivalent

    Desirable qualification/ job description: 1-2 years working experience in Pharmacy outlets like Apollo / Mediplus etc., with computer knowledge

    Upper Age Limit: 35 years as of the application closing date.

    Emoluments : (i) 31,000/- p.m. + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.

    (ii) 25,000/- p.m. + HRA as applicable/admissible for others who do not fall under (i) above.

    Project Associate-II *

    Essential Qualification : (i) Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized University or equivalent and (ii) 2 years experience in Research and Academic Institutions or Science & Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services

    Desirable qualification/ job description: 1-2 years working experience in Pharmacy outlets like Apollo / Mediplus etc., with computer knowledge

    Upper Age Limit: 35 years as of the application closing date.

    Emoluments : (i) Rs. 35,000/- p.m. + HRA to Scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.

    (ii) Rs. 28,000/- p.m. + HRA as applicable/admissible for others who do not fall under (i) above.

    Tenure of position: 1 year

    * Depending upon the availability of candidates for the above positions, either the PA-I OR PA-II will be filled.

    General terms and conditions

    1. The number of posts Director, CCMB reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of positions and cancel the recruitment process for the above positions at any stage. The decision of the Director, CSIR-CCMB, will be final and binding.
    2. Age relaxation as per CSIR/Govt. of India guidelines. Age will be calculated as of the last date of receipt of online applications.
    3. Awaiting result/Pursuing degree Those candidates who are still pursuing/ awaiting results for their qualifying degree or any other qualification for the above post(s) as of the date of application will not be considered.
    4. Eligibility criterion Candidate should note that non-fulfilment of the eligibility criterion will result in cancellation of candidature at any stage
    5. Experience The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications prescribed for that post.
    6. Result / Panel for waitlisted candidates Based upon the performance of candidates in the interview, the result of selected candidates against the number of posts available in the project for each postcode will be declared and posted on the CCMB website. A panel of waitlisted candidates in order of merit will also be formed for each postcode, valid for one year. The panel may be operated on the recommendation of the Project Investigator to meet any future requirement in the project arising due to the resignation of the incumbent/ non-joining of selected candidates/ further unforeseen/urgent requirements of the project workforce for the same position in the same project.
    7. Engagement The engagement shall be initially for a short duration based on the availability of funds which may be extended or curtailed based on the conduct and the performance of the incumbent as well as the requirement of the Institute. However, the engagement will be within the project’s tenure. It shall expire automatically after the project tenure in which the candidate has been selected. The engagement under projects does not confer any right/claim whatsoever, explicitly or implicitly, on the appointee for regular appointment in CSIR/CCMB against any post or otherwise under any legal conditions or precedent.
    8. Leave The incumbent would not be entitled to regular Leave. However, they would be allowed one day of Leave for each completed month.
    9. TA/DA No TA/DA admissible for attending test/ interview, joining the position.
    10. Office timings/ Working hours: The incumbent must perform the assigned duties during working hours, i.e. from 9 am to 6:00 pm on working days. The incumbent will not be allowed to take any other assignment during the engagement period. They may be required to work on Saturday/Sunday/other Gazetted holidays and beyond working hours also if need be.
    11. Tax deduction at source The Income Tax or any other tax liable to be deducted, as per the prevailing rules, will be deducted at source before effecting the payment.
    12. Confidentiality of data and documents The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) of the data collected, and the deliverables produced for the Office, shall remain with this Office. No one shall utilize, publish, disclose, or part with, to a third party, any part of the data, statistics, proceedings, or information collected for this assignment or during an assignment for the Office without the express written consent of the Office. The incumbent shall be bound to hand over the entire set of records of assignment to the Office before the expiry of the contract and before the Office releases the final payment.
    13. Termination of Service The performance of project personnel would be reviewed periodically so that candidates not found up to the mark could be terminated. The engagement may be terminated at any time by the Office without assigning any reasons by giving a one-month notice. Suppose the person desires to leave the assignment. In that case, they may also do so by giving one month’s notice or payment of one month’s stipend instead, which can be condoned/ curtailed/ extended depending upon the discretion of the Competent Authority.
    14. DISCLAIMER Candidates applying for the above posts shall ensure they fulfil the essential qualifications. If they apply by fulfilling the essential qualifications, they will be considered giving correct/misleading information. The ONUS OF THIS ACTION WILL BE ON THE CANDIDATE and not on the Institute. Suppose they are found fulfilling the essential criteria or have provided misleading information. In that case, their candidature for the post may be accepted at any stage or after selection.
    15. Disqualification Canvassing in any form and bringing any political or otherwise influence will be treated as a disqualification for the post.
