Job Role: Junior Medical Coder

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze patient medical records for accurate medical code assignment
• Ensure compliance with ICD-10 coding guidelines and regulatory standards
• Interpret clinical documentation using anatomy and physiology knowledge
• Utilize medical coding software under expert supervision
• Participate in training sessions and stay updated on coding protocols
• Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all medical records

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualifications (UG/PG):

Candidates must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in:

• Pharmacy (BPharm/MPharm)
• Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Zoology, Home Science)
• Allied Health Sciences (Nursing, Optometry, Biomedical, BAMS, BHMS)
• Engineering (B.Tech/M.Tech in Biotech, Biomedical)

Preferred Skills

• Good knowledge of medical terminology
• Basic understanding of anatomy and physiology
• Familiarity with ICD-10 guidelines
• AAPC or AHIMA certification is an added advantage
• Previous experience in Risk Adjustment Coding is a plus
