Qualification & Experience: Any Master’s degree in Biotech with 6 to 12 years of relevant experience

The Role : The role is for Downstream process development of viral vector / Lentiviral/ gene therapy based products and technology transfer.

Key Result Areas

Role-specific:

• It will support the execution/supervision and planning of downstream experiments, analysis, interpretation of data, communication and documentation. The process includes all activities related to process development and technology transfer.
• It is incumbent to comply with the QMS, safety systems and technical administrative work in the labs.
• The role will involve understand and plan the experiments with minimal supervision and guiding/mentoring the juniors. Execute/guide the fellow executive in Downstream process development experiments. Analyze and interpret data. Updating technical information in meetings or to reporting manager and other team members to deciding action plans.
• Planning and execution of laboratory experiments.
• Preparation of experimental protocols, TTD, BPR, PDR, SOP, EOP, IOP and technical presentations and its review.
• Responsible for scale-up and technology transfer in pilot plant.
• Responsible for inventory calculation, forecasting of material requirement and monitoring the materials in a given project where he has been assigned a role.
• Maintain DSP equipment qualification, lab compliance and training to subordinates.
• Coordination for activities related to departmental audits.
• Communicating with vendors for technical queries.
• Should provide data and maintain the SQDECC and other operational excellence activities.
• Possess the knowledge and exposure to Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS) practices.
• Follow Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety.
• Attend training on Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS)

Education and Experience : Master’s in Life Sciences/Engineering or relevant field with 6-12 years of experience

Required Skill Sets:

• Viral vector purification expertise
• Proficient in downstream process of viral vector/ Lentiviral/gene therapy.
• Should possess sound knowledge of operating chromatography process, Tangential Flow Filtration and interpreting experimental results using standard tool
• Should be conversant with interpretation of analytical and process data and should be conversant with DSP scale-up principles.
• Good communicational skills
