Announcement of the Project Assistant position under E-YUVA
Applications are now being invited for the position of Project Assistant under E-YUVA at Panjab University, Chandigarh. This opportunity is open to individuals looking to contribute their skills and expertise to this dynamic project. The selected candidates will be initially appointed for a period of one year or until the completion of the project, depending on which comes earlier. However, if the project is extended, the posts may be prolonged based on evaluation. It’s important to note that these positions are purely temporary and will cease to exist at the termination of the project. Therefore, there will be no entitlement for regularization of services.
Duration and nature of the position
The appointment for the Project Assistant position is for a maximum duration of one year, or as long as the project lasts. The nature of the position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Once the project concludes, the University will not have any financial liability towards the appointed individuals, and they will have no claim for regularization of their services.
Eligibility criteria for applicants
To be eligible for the Project Assistant position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Upper age limit: The maximum age limit for applicants is 32 years.
- Essential qualifications: Candidates must hold an M.Sc. or M. Tech. degree in any subject of Life Sciences, including but not limited to Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Microbial Biotechnology, Biophysics, or any related area.
- Desirable qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in project handling, scientific report writing, and hands-on experience with bioinstrumentation.
Emoluments and benefits
The selected candidates for the Project Assistant position will receive a fixed emolument of Rs. 25,000 per month. Along with the monetary compensation, they will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, gain valuable experience, and enhance their skills in the field of Life Sciences.
