Medical coder skills:

Extensive knowledge of ICD 10 CM outpatient coding guidelines
Knowledge of CPT and HCPCS Coding and billing
Knowledge of Human anatomy and physiology
Strong clinical knowledge related to chronic illness diagnosis, treatment and management.
Knowledge of HIPAA (The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, US), recognizing a commitment privacy, security and confidentiality of all medical chart documentation
Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy ang physiology, pharmacology, coding guidelines
