Junior Research Fellow (Chemistry/Pharmacognosy) vacancies at Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS)
The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is seeking to engage a Junior Research Fellow (Chemistry/Pharmacognosy) on a contractual and co-terminus basis for six months at the Central Ayurveda Research Institute in Kolkata, India. The ideal candidate should have an MSc in Chemistry or an MPharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Pharmacognosy from a recognized institution. The monthly remuneration for this position will be Rs. 31,000/- plus HRA, and the age limit is not exceeding 35 years as of 01.01.2023.
The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is an autonomous body of the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy), Government of India. It is an apex body in India for the formulation, coordination, development, and promotion of research on scientific lines in the Ayurveda and Sowa-Rigpa systems of medicine.
Junior Research Fellow (Chemistry / Pharmacognosy) – 01 Post
This Institute intends to engage Junior Research Fellow (Chemistry/Pharmacognosy) purely on a contractual and co-terminus basis for Six (06) months. The requisite qualification and other conditions are as detailed below.
Qualification, experience
I. Essential: MSc (Chemistry) / M Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) / M.Pharm (Pharmacognosy) from a recognized University/ Institution.
II. Desirable
- Sound knowledge of marker analysis by HPTLC and HPLC
- Method development and validation by HPTLC and HPLC
- Skills in drafting, and editing scientific documents/articles/technical reports, etc.,
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals
Monthly remuneration: Rs. 31,000/- p.m. + HRA (As per Rule.)
Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years as on 01.01.2023
Terms and Conditions
- The engagement is initially for Six months, which may be curtailed or extended at the discretion of the Competent Authority.
- The engagement would be purely on a contractual basis and co-terminus with the projects and no claim for continuance of regular appointment will be entertained.
- The eligibility of candidates in respect of age will be determined as of 01.01.2023. Relaxation of age for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt, of India Rules.
- Interested applicants should bring their dully filled application with a set of photocopies of self-attested Certificates, Marks sheets, Caste certificates Experience certificates, etc. along with originals & two recent passport-size photographs.
- The candidates are required to appear for a written test/interview at the above-mentioned address at 10.00 am for registration and beyond that, no candidate will be allowed.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/interview.
- Candidates already working should produce a “No Objection Certificate” in case he/she is employed elsewhere.
Interested candidates fulfilling the above criteria should fill out the prescribed proforma along with self-attested copies of certificates in support of age and qualification and two passport-size recent photographs. The candidates are required to appear for a written test/interview at the above-mentioned address along with the filled prescribed proforma. The candidates who are attending an interview will be required to carry their original certificates/ testimonials for verification. The interested candidates must reach the venue (Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Kolkata, 4- CN Block, Sector -V, Bidhannagar, Kolkata – 700091) at 10.00 am for registration, and beyond that, no candidate will be allowed to written test/interview.
