Project Tenure: 2 Years

Job Description: In this research proposal we are designing a new DC-DC converter with multi-output capability. The proposed converter will be more efficient than the existing ones and efficiency are likely to be more than 95%. Multi-frequency operation is likely to reduce the size of the converter with a reduction in the magnetic component. The designed converter will be tested under different loading conditions applicable for solar PV rooftop power of ~2kW rating. (This work\ will be performed with Dr. Rajneesh)

In addition to conventional loading, we are proposing a new application of green hydrogen production using one of the outputs of the designed converter. Fabrication of a two-electrode configuration for solar-light driven green hydrogen generation using doped 2D thin sheets (hydroxides and sulfides of Ni) as both anode and cathode (PV-EC coupled system) is also proposed in this research work. This will introduce a new application of rooftop solar PV-based systems. (This work will be performed with Dr. Surojit)

The candidate will be actively engaged in writing research articles and patents.

How to Apply:

Applications along with an updated CV should be sent through the mail to rajneesh@pilani.bits-pilani.ac.in. (for Dr. Rajneesh Kumar) and spande@pilani.bits-pilani.ac.in. (for Dr. Surojit Pande). Shortlisted candidates will be informed of the interview. Mere possession of minimum qualification does not guarantee an invitation to the interview. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their merit and as per the requirement of the project. Please note that only qualified and suitable candidates will be called for an interview.

Application Deadline: 20th March 2023
