Applications are invited for ONE POST of Jr. Pharmacovigilance Associate on a contractual basis for onsite recruitment to be conducted at the Department of Pharmacology, AIIMS, Raipur (C.G.), an ADR Monitoring Center under the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India. Introduction to ADR Monitoring Center

The ADR Monitoring Center at AIIMS Raipur is an integral part of the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India. It serves as a hub for the collection, analysis, and reporting of adverse drug reactions. The primary objective of the center is to ensure the safety and efficacy of drugs used in the country. By actively monitoring ADRs, the center contributes to the identification and prevention of potential risks associated with medications.

Responsibilities of ADR Monitoring Center

As an ADR Monitoring Center, AIIMS Raipur has several key responsibilities:

1. Processing of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs): The center meticulously processes ICSRs, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
2. Managing ICSRs in VigiFlow: VigiFlow is a specialized drug safety database used for managing and reporting adverse drug reactions. The center handles the management of ICSRs within this system.
3. Quality Review, Clinical Review & Statistical Review: The ADR Monitoring Center conducts comprehensive reviews of ICSRs, ensuring quality, clinical relevance, and statistical analysis.
4. Adherence to Competent Authority’s Assignments: The center performs any additional tasks assigned by the Competent Authority, Officer-in-Charge, PvPI, or Coordinator, ensuring efficient functioning of the monitoring center.

The ADR Monitoring Center at AIIMS Raipur is currently inviting applications for the position of Junior Pharmacovigilance Associate on a contractual basis. The recruitment process will be conducted onsite at the Department of Pharmacology, AIIMS Raipur. Essential Qualifications for Junior Pharmacovigilance Associate

To be eligible for the position of Junior Pharmacovigilance Associate, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Pharmacy / Clinical Pharmacology / Pharmacy Practice / Clinical Research OR
• Pharm. D / MBBS / BDS from a recognized University / Institute.

Desirable Qualifications for Junior Pharmacovigilance Associate

Candidates with the following qualifications and experience will be given preference:

• 0-1 year of experience in drug safety/pharmacovigilance

Job Description of Junior Pharmacovigilance Associate

The role of a Junior Pharmacovigilance Associate includes, but is not limited to, the following:

1. Processing of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) and managing them in VigiFlow, the drug safety database.
2. Quality review, clinical review, and statistical review of ICSRs in the drug safety database.
3. Accomplishing any other tasks assigned by the Competent Authority, Officer-in-Charge, PvPI, or Coordinator, as per the requirements.

Terms and Conditions

Candidates applying for the position of Junior Pharmacovigilance Associate should be aware of the following terms and conditions:

1. Contractual Vacancy: The position is a contractual vacancy under the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India at the Department of Pharmacology, AIIMS Raipur.
2. Period of Engagement: The initial engagement will be for one year or until further orders, subject to extension based on performance and departmental requirements.
3. Travel Allowance: No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided for attending the interview or written test.
4. Screening Process: If a large number of applications are received, a written screening test may be conducted, and the interview process may span multiple days.
5. Interview Intimation: Candidates should regularly check the AIIMS Raipur website for updates on the interview schedule. No separate intimation will be sent.
6. Appointment Process: The offer letter and appointment order will be issued by the authorized outsourcing agency of the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) after completing the verification process.
7. Rights of the Competent Authority: The competent authority reserves the right to reject, accept, extend, or cancel the post without assigning any reason.
8. Salary: The salary for the Junior Pharmacovigilance Associate will be provided by the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, Ghaziabad.
9. Document Verification: Candidates must bring all original certificates, a filled application form, and a set of self-attested photocopies of the required documents during the interview.
