Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the pharmacist positions will be based on Academic Weightage and a Computer Test. Academic qualifications and achievements will be taken into consideration, along with performance in the computer test.

Essential Qualifications

To be eligible for the pharmacist position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Two years Diploma in Pharmacy (D-Pharma) (ALLOPATHIC) recognized by the Government of West Bengal
  • Registered as “A” category Pharmacist under the West Bengal Pharmacy Council
  • Proficiency in Bengali
  • Efficiency in Computers, including MS Office and internet
  • Permanent resident of West Bengal

Desirable Qualification

Candidates with higher qualifications such as B-Pharma or M-Pharma will be given weightage during the selection process.

Maximum Age Limit

The maximum age limit for engagement as a pharmacist is 40 years as of 1st January 2023.

Monthly Remuneration

Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 22,000.

Application Process

Please note that only offline applications will be accepted. Ensure that you fill in the application form accurately and completely to avoid cancellation. In case the details provided in the offline application differ from the original testimonials or records, your application may be liable for cancellation.

Applicants who are currently employed in the same position under the National Health Mission (NHM) may also apply, but they will be considered as fresh candidates with revised entry point remuneration. Such applicants will receive a relaxation of five years in the age limit mentioned in the recruitment notification, but they will not be entitled to any benefits associated with their current position.

All essential qualifications must be completed before the first date of notice (i.e., 4th May 2023) for the recruitment of different posts under NHM, NUHM & XV-FC (HG) for the relevant period.

Important Points to Note

  • Registration with the respective Council from West Bengal, where applicable, must be obtained before the first date of notice.
  • Experience will be calculated until the first date of notice.
  • Caste certificates issued on or before the first date of publication of the notice will be accepted. OBC candidates must specifically mention their category (A or B) in the caste certificate for it to be valid.
  • Age relaxation will be provided to SC/ST candidates for 5 years and OBC candidates for 3 years, as per government norms.
  • The disability certificate must be issued before the first date of notice by competent authorities.
  • A demand draft of Rs. 100/- (General category) or Rs. 50/- (SC/ST/OBC/PH reserved category) must be drawn in favor of “District Health & Family Welfare Samity, Hooghly” A/C Non NHM, payable at Kolkata.
  • If you wish to apply for more than one post, separate applications and demand drafts must be submitted.
  • The application, along with the demand draft, should be submitted in a sealed envelope to the office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, Hooghly, before 4:00 pm on 25th May 2023. Applications submitted after this deadline will be rejected.
  • Clearly superscript the envelope with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF [APPLIED POST] UNDER PROGRAMME.”
  • The back of the demand draft should bear the applicant’s name and the name of the post applied for. Applications without the demand draft will not be accepted.
  • The engagement for the sanctioned post under XV-FC HG will be purely on a contract basis until 2025-2026, aligned with the tenure of XV-FC HG.
  • Along with the application form, submit photocopies of all testimonials supporting your credentials.

  • Last Date of Application: 25th May 2023, 4:00 pm

Please note that the District Level Selection Committee’s decision regarding the recruitment process is final. Ineligible candidates will not be called for subsequent stages of the selection process.
