Senior Safety Specialist Responsibilities:

As a Sr Safety Specialist – FSP at Thermo Fisher Scientific, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing day-to-day Pharmacovigilance activities independently.
• Participating in on-call duties for specific projects to ensure 24-hour coverage for intake of cases from investigative sites.
• Operating in a lead capacity and providing assistance in developing program and departmental procedural documents.
• Mentoring less experienced staff and reviewing regulatory/pharmacovigilance publications to stay updated on current regulations and practices.
• Maintaining medical understanding of applicable therapeutic areas and disease states.
• Reviewing cases for quality, consistency, and accuracy, including peer report reviews.
• Responsible for routine project implementation and coordination, including presentations at client/investigator meetings and review of metrics and budget considerations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in Pharmacovigilance or a related area.
• Strong understanding of medical and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualificatio
• Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years).
