About the Opportunity
Thermo Fisher Scientific, known for advancing science and innovation, is recruiting a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join their esteemed global regulatory affairs team in Bangalore, Karnataka. This full-time, onsite position is part of their PPD® clinical research portfolio, offering a chance to work in an office environment while contributing to ground-breaking healthcare innovations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the preparation and management of regulatory documentation. Your contributions will support global regulatory compliance and ensure the timely delivery of life-changing therapies.
- Supports the preparation of documentation and submissions under guidance.
- Coordinates and manages client deliverables supporting regulatory compliance.
- Liaises with internal and external clients in the tracking and status update of project plans and overall support of projects. Assists with project budgeting/forecasting.
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of SOPs, client SOPs/directives, and current regulatory guidelines.
- Assists in business development and pricing of projects for the department.
- Evaluates client needs in relationship to overall project timelines, quality and delivery.
- Engages other project team members, functional units and/or management as necessary to deliver final product, and resolve/mitigate identified issues or barriers to delivery as needed
Qualifications
To be eligible for the role of Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you must meet the following qualifications:
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or a related field (mandatory).
- Advanced degrees such as a Master’s or equivalent will be an advantage.
Professional Experience
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in regulatory affairs or a related field.
- Familiarity with clinical trial regulations, lifecycle management, and compliance is preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) and strong communication skills.
- High attention to detail with proven editorial and proofreading capabilities.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and regulatory guidelines.
