Job Notification: Clinical Research Associate at CDSA – THSTI

Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is seeking to fill the position of Clinical Research Associate under the DTRC project. THSTI is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. It is located at the NCR Biotech Science Cluster in Faridabad and focuses on innovative translational research.

About THSTI

THSTI is part of the interdisciplinary NCR Biotech Science Cluster and aims to conduct translational research to develop products improving human health. The institute has several inter-institutional collaborations and connections with the industry, supported by skilled research and laboratory staff. It pursues thematic research in areas such as:

• Infectious diseases and Immunology
• Maternal and Child Health
• Non-communicable diseases
• Multidisciplinary clinical and translational research

These are strengthened by four core facilities:

• Small Animal Facility
• Data Management Centre
• Biorepository
• Bioassay Laboratory

Job Details

Position: Clinical Research Associate (01)

Project: DTRC

Emoluments: ₹55,000/-

Age Limit: 35 Years

Duration: Till 30th September 2024

Minimum Educational Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s in Life Sciences with at least 3 years of relevant clinical trial monitoring or clinical site coordinator experience.
• OR Master’s degree/PG diploma in life sciences, pharmacy, public health, healthcare, or related disciplines with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• MBBS/BDS/BHMS/BAMS/BPT preferred with the above experience.

Skills:

• Basic knowledge and ability to apply GCP and applicable regulatory guidelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective time management and ability to manage competing priorities.

Job Profile:

• Conduct monitoring visits for assigned trial protocols and sites, ensuring compliance with protocols, SOPs, GCP, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform site monitoring throughout the trial, from site initiation to site closeout.
• Execute quality programs as per GCP/GCLP and regulations.
• Complete therapeutic, protocol, and clinical research training.
• Set up trial sites with necessary materials and supplies.
• Provide protocol and trial training to assigned sites.
• Manage ongoing project expectations and issues with sites.
• Provide training and assistance to junior clinical staff.
• Maintain documentation regarding site management, monitoring visit findings, and action plans.
• Track regulatory/IEC submissions and approvals, recruitment, enrollment, CRF completion, data query resolution, and trial documentation.
• Write monitoring visit reports and archive trial documentation.
• Evaluate the quality and integrity of trial site practices.
• Escalate quality issues to the Quality Manager, Project Manager, and/or senior management.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Portfolio Management department and other internal departments as required.
