Job Role: E&M Medical Coder
As an E&M Medical Coder at IKS Health, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of medical coding, compliance with regulatory standards, and efficient documentation. You will evaluate medical records, assign the correct evaluation and management (E&M) codes, and ensure that all coding reflects the services rendered.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate medical record documentation to ensure accurate coding for services provided to patients.
- Accurately assign medical, diagnostic, and procedural codes according to established guidelines.
- Ensure all documentation complies with E&M coding standards and healthcare regulations.
- Follow strict coding productivity standards while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in the documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of E&M coding experience.
- Certification: Must have valid certifications such as CPC, CCS, COC, CRC, or CIRCC.
- Education: A degree in Life Sciences such as BPT/MPT, B. Pharm/M. Pharm, B.Sc/M.Sc in Nursing, Nutrition, Zoology, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or Genetics.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding regulations.
- Ability to work with strict productivity standards.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with healthcare providers.
