Job Description

Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Eligibility:

• Minimum Qualifications: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry or relevant life science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks.
• Desirable Qualifications: Preference for candidates with qualifications such as CSIR-UGC-NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE. Candidates with experience in handling microbial cultures, bioreactor engineering, and proficiency in scientific writing are encouraged to apply.

Age Limit: Up to 30 years on the closing date of the advertisement

Fellowship Duration: Till the end of the project (approx. 1 year & 8 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

About the Department & Responsibilities

The Junior Research Fellow will be part of the Environmental Biotechnology department, working on the project “Engineering hybrid biological systems for self-sustainable treatment of persistent mobile chemicals in common effluent treatment plant (CETP) wastewater.” Responsibilities include creating reporting and analytics solutions, serving as a technical resource for data visualization, and contributing to the drug development process.
