Job Description

Junior Scientific Analyst – NGS

Responsibilities:

Accomplish the Assigned Bench Work:

Perform laboratory experiments and tasks in accordance with the project’s requirements.
Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and accuracy in all experiments.
Ensure that all bench work is conducted in a safe and organized manner.

Develop Experiment Plans & Generate QC Reports:

Develop detailed experiment plans, outlining the objectives, methods, and expected outcomes of each experiment.
Execute experiments as per the defined plans, meticulously recording all relevant data and observations.
Generate comprehensive Quality Control (QC) reports summarizing the results, data analysis, and any deviations from expected outcomes.
Submit the QC reports to the client or relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.

Track Usage of Materials and Raise Purchase Requests:

Maintain an inventory of laboratory materials, reagents, and supplies.
Monitor the consumption of materials and reagents during experiments.
Identify and anticipate when supplies are running low, and initiate the procurement process by raising Purchase Requests (PRs).
Ensure that all purchases are in compliance with budgetary constraints and quality standards.

Adhere to Quality Control Requirements:

Strictly adhere to established Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) protocols.
Regularly calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), as applicable.

Education and Experience:

1-2 years of experience
MSc with Bioinformatics

Senior Scientific Analyst

Responsibilities:

Training and Guiding Assigned Analysis Staff:

Provide training and mentorship to junior analysis staff, ensuring they have a clear understanding of analysis procedures and methods.
Monitor the progress of junior analysts, providing guidance and support as needed to enhance their skill and knowledge.

Support the Head-Analysis in Quality/Productivity Enhancement Initiatives:

Collaborate with the Head of Analysis to identify areas for quality improvement and increased productivity.
Participate in the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality and efficiency of analysis processes.

Accomplish the Assigned Analysis Aligned to Client Needs and SOPs:

Perform analysis tasks and experiments according to project requirements and established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure that all analysis work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with client expectations.

Develop Analysis Plans in Alignment with Client Needs:

Create comprehensive analysis plans, outlining the objectives, methods, and expected outcomes of each analysis.
Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and tailor analysis plans accordingly.

Review QC Reports and Analyze Causes for Deviations:

Review Quality Control (QC) reports generated by the analysis team.
Analyze the root causes of any deviations from expected outcomes and implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.

2-5 years of experience
