CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants (CSIR CIMAP), under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, invites eligible candidates for a walk-in interview on May 8, 2024, at 10.00 AM at CSIR-CIMAP Research Centre, Bengaluru. This recruitment drive is for various positions under sponsored projects. Here are the details:

CSIR CIMAP Open Position Details

1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry with CSIR-UGC NET-LS
• Desirable Qualification: Working experience in Molecular Microbiology
• Monthly Emoluments: Rs.37,000/- + HRA

2. Project Associate I/II

• Essential Qualification:
  • Project Associate I: M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry or M.Tech in Biotechnology
  • Project Associate II: M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry
• Desirable Qualification:
  • Project Associate I: 2 years relevant experience in Research and Development
  • Project Associate II: 2 years relevant experience in Research and Development, Industrial/Academic/Research Institutions
• Monthly Emoluments:
  • Project Associate I: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA or Rs.25,000/- + HRA (based on selection criteria)
  • Project Associate II: Rs. 35,000/- + HRA or Rs. 28,000/- + HRA (based on selection criteria)

3. Project Associate I (3 positions)

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry or M.Tech in Biotechnology
• Desirable Qualification: Working experience in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Yeast Biology
• Monthly Emoluments:
  • Rs. 31,000/- + HRA or Rs.25,000/- + HRA (based on selection criteria)

4. Lab/Field Assistant

• Essential Qualification: B.Sc with Biotechnology/Life Sciences
• Desirable Qualification: 2 years working experience in a plant biology lab
• Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 20,000/- + HRA

5. Project Associate I/II

• Essential Qualification:
  • Project Associate I: M.Sc. in Genetics and Plant Breeding/Agricultural Biotechnology
  • Project Associate II: M.Sc. in Genetics and Plant Breeding/Agricultural Biotechnology
• Desirable Qualification: 2 years relevant experience in Research and Development, Industrial/Academic/Research Institutions, Experience in working on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants
• Monthly Emoluments:
  • Project Associate I: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA or Rs.25,000/- + HRA (based on selection criteria)
  • Project Associate II: Rs. 35,000/- + HRA or Rs. 28,000/- + HRA (based on selection criteria)

CSIR CIMAP Interview Details

• Date, Place, and Time: 8 May 2024 at CSIR-CIMAP Research Centre, Bengaluru (Reporting time: 9 AM)
• Documents Required: Signed Bio-Data downloaded from the website, Original Documents, Self-Attested Photocopies of educational testimonials, Recent Passport size photograph

Terms & Conditions

• Engagement initially for one year, extendable based on performance and project needs.
• Project staff tenure is co-terminus with the project (maximum five years).
• Temporary position without rights to a permanent post.
• Age relaxation as per Government rules.
• Fresh application required for engagement in another project.
