Eligibility Criteria for PhD Admissions

Minimum Educational Qualifications

• M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm./MBA/M.Phil. (Minimum 60% aggregate)*
• M.Sc./B.E./B.Pharm. (Minimum 60% aggregate)*
• For Humanities & Social Sciences – M.A. (Minimum 55% aggregate)*
• Part-time applicants must have at least one year of experience in the relevant field.

Meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee admission; departments may set additional criteria.

Financial Assistance & Fellowships

• Full-time PhD students receive a fellowship of ₹37,000 per month, increasing to ₹40,000 or ₹42,000 after two years based on performance.
• Additional ₹20,000 per year as contingency grant.
• Fellowship funding may be from Institute, Sponsored Projects, or External Agencies (UGC/CSIR NET qualified students can bring their own funding).
