Role Overview
Position: Medical Coder – E/M Outpatient
- Specialty: Evaluation and Management (E/M)

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately code outpatient Evaluation & Management (E/M) services, including:
- Preventive Services
- Wellness Visits
- Vaccinations & Immunizations
- Intravenous Injections
- Telehealth and Office Visits
- Transitional Care Management (TCM)
- Chronic Care Management (CCM)
- Apply appropriate coding modifiers and follow NCCI (National Correct Coding Initiative) Edits.
- Perform laboratory coding and compliance checks.
- Ensure adherence to current coding standards and healthcare regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- B.Pharm, M.Pharm
- B.Sc. Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biochemistry
- BDS, BPT, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences
- Certifications: AAPC/CPC or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in E/M outpatient coding
- Skills: Strong knowledge of coding practices, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS
